AOL adopting Open source Protocol XMPP (aka Jabber)

AOL finally decided to start using a XMPP, which Google Talk has been using for a while now. ICQ and AIM services are now compatible with XMPP, but still in the beta stages. Depending on how far back you’ve been on the Internet, it’s pretty likely that you used to use Netscape Navigator to browser the web.
