Inspired to blog again

I’ve been reading a book that the story is set in the early 2000’s. This one character writes in their LJ blog and the author of the book gives a side view of the character’s LJ posts.

LJ (live journal) was a popular platform during the 2000’s where people would blog about their lives. After reading each post in the book got me to thinking. Why did the art of this pre social media trend go away? It was a way to keep net friends, irl friends, family, etc updated like an extension of online instant messaging. Way before social media was popular. Plus it gave users an outlet to share creative stories and content as well.

I know I drifted away from blogging regularly because of time, life, and honestly the drive to write and be creative. With the thoughts of Myspace coming back too I’ve been inspired to dust off the old blog and start to write more than a few sentences in one sitting.

Upgrading to the M4 MacBook Pro: A Long-Awaited Refresh for My Aging Setup

I finally upgraded my aging computer setup to a new M4 MacBook Pro, and it was long overdue. After my iMac died in 2019 due to a failing graphics card, I switched to using my MacBook, which has served me well ever since. But as my MacBook nears 10 years old, I figured it was time for an upgrade. Hopefully, this new MacBook Pro will last me another 10+ years.

2025 Flying by

Can you believe it’s already March 2025? It feels like the year just began. Between the whirlwind of work, commitments, and daily hustle, time is flying by, and it’s tough to keep up with so much to do and so little time. Hopefully, 2025 will slow down a bit so I can get back to blogging more.
