As a web developer I use several programs. I wanted this particular file to be opened in this program by default. I remember I had done this step before but forgot how I changed the default program.
Ever since upgrading to OS X Yosemite, Safari 8 now clears all website data when I clear my browser history. This has become really annoying. In previous version of Safari, history and website data items were cleared separately via two different methods. Now you have to use a workaround to just clear the history. For me I go to History > Show History and manually delete all of the history.
Have you ever had the Dock in OS X to freeze up? Did you know you can restart it by using a simple terminal command?
Just go to the terminal app and type in killall -KILL Dock at the prompt. The dock will disappear and reappear in a couple of seconds.
