Just Cancel it!

What is with all my shows I watch being canceled or pulled because a network is merging with another network. Just this week another one of my shows I watch The O.C. is being canceled because of low ratings. I knew it was coming sooner or later, but that is not the only show I’ve been interested in that has got canceled or pulled.

What’s really bad none of the newer shows are appealing to me because they are either, too boring ,not that interesting or just lame. I guess after the 22 of Feb, ( the official date for the last show), I will try to get back into watching Scrubs, and The Office on NBC, to fill the spot that The O.C. will leave on Thursday’s nights.

Just to think that I love watching the O.C. not only for the storyline, but also for discovering new music as well. They always played new and upcoming (indie) bands on the show. I hope the rumor of CW picking up the show does come true.

1-21-07/ Update: Just after a couple of weeks of posting this, I also found out one of my fav. soaps (day time tv) Passions, is getting the boot as well and will be ending after a 8-year run in the fall. I tell ya, if this keeps up there will not be worth anything on tv to watch except for the cooking stations, cartoon stations, the home improvement stations, and the educational stations.

Happy Holidays, Happy Holidays…

I wanted to wish everyone a very happy holiday season. I’ve been busy working on a few things. I’ve designed a couple of holiday e-cards and also created one for myself to send out to all family and friends. Anyhow, I wish you all a very happy holiday and a festive new year!

Updated Interface in CS3

I was just like many of designers, who had downloaded Photoshop CS3 Beta on Friday ( DEC. 15, 2006).  I was surprised to hear Adobe making this move to allow public beta testing of one of their flagship products, but at the same time happy they wanted to involve the community to test the new version.

Overall I really like the new Interface, it seemed a little getting use too. The tool bar is docked, which I is something I don’t like, but I finally figured out I could “un dock” it and the other  menus to make them behave just as I have  had in previous versions of Photoshop. I’m liking the new features like quick selection, refine edges, and the new features in Vanishing Point as well. I’m happy to finally see a Universal Binary version as well for the Intel macs, which has been something holding me back on getting a new Intel Mac. I can’t wait for the new release of the in the Spring. Since, I’m a CS user at home, I’ve thought about upgrading to CS2 for a while now, but wanted to wait till version CS3 comes out. Now since they have opened a full version of the Beta of CS3 to CS2 users only, I have thought of upgrading to be able to take advantage of getting to play with CS3 more than just 2 days.
