Getting Naked Again for Standards

I’m going… I mean my site is going Naked for standards again this year. CSS Naked Day    was created a few years ago by Dustin Diaz.  CSS Naked Day is a one day event to promote  Web Standards. This includes proper use of (x)html, semantic markup, and a good hierarchy of structure.  This year the time for your site to get naked is on April 9, 2008.  So just in 3 days This site will be going naked for standards. Is your website getting Naked for Standards too?

Turn off the Lights

Today many over the whole entire world will be “turning off the lights” tonight from 8pm-9pm to observe Earth Hour.  On March 29, 2008, cities around the world, including Copenhagen, Chicago, Melbourne, Dubai, and Tel Aviv, will hold events to acknowledge their commitment to energy conservation.  Evening Google is doing their part and went to black with their website.

Tonight I will be shutting down for the evening, Are you?

Writing About Standards

I’m currently working on a new article over at www.altercube.com. The article will be about why it’s important for businesses to have their site designed based on web standards, usability and accessibility in mind. Be sure to to check back here in a couple of days when the article is excepted to launch. I’ll be linking to it from this site, but you can head over to www.altercube.com for more information about the article.
