Clearing History Not Web Data

Ever since upgrading to OS X Yosemite, Safari 8 now clears all website data when I  clear my browser history. This has become really annoying. In previous version of Safari, history and website data items were cleared separately via two different methods.  Now you have to use a workaround to just clear the history. For me I go to History > Show History and manually delete all of the history.

Kill the Dock

Have you ever had the Dock in OS X to freeze up? Did you know you can restart it by using a simple terminal command?
Just go to the terminal app and type in killall -KILL Dock at the prompt. The dock will disappear and reappear in a couple of seconds.

Zooming Reset

My browser window (Safari) always gets zoomed in and I always forget the key command to reset it. So this post is mainly a reminder for myself. If you happen to come across this post and it helps you then great! Thanks for reading my post.

On most all of the latest version of Browsers ( Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Opera) on Mac OS X  is simple to reset.

If you do a key combo of ?(command key)  +  0 (zero key) that should reset your browser zoom level back to 100%.
