A New blog post I posted over at my blog at Lockergnome.com:

“October Is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and a lot of people are changing their web site’s color schemes to go Pink for October. Pink for October is a web event started in 2006 by Matthew Oliphant. Pink for October is a web event to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, get people talking about breast cancer, and raise money for research.

As most are aware I  also help out  my  local Komen affiliate: Laugh for the Cure, by donating my time and design knowledge to help with website design, etc.

Laugh for the Cure,® (LFTC) is a grass-roots effort founded in 2002 in Charlotte, NC by a group of friends whose lives had each been touched by breast cancer.  The event has grown into one of the most highly anticipated and unique fundraising events in Charlotte and is quickly spreading to cities across the country! Laughter is the best medicine and the PG comedy shows have universal appeal to all audiences and keep the crowd ‘laughing for a cure’!”
